A good coat will help you cope with the winter cold with a lot of style. Depending on the shapes of your body there is a wide variety of coats that can favor you. But do you know what you should look for to choose the right one? Write down the advice of our Personal Shopper.

LENGTH

Three-quarter coats stylize and make you gain height. If you are tall you can afford to choose a longer one.

COURT

Slightly tailored straight coats or empire cut are very flattering. If they have some volume, make sure it is in the area you want to highlight (shoulders, hips)...

KNITTING

If it is thinner and with fall (stylizes more) or thicker (it gives volume to the body).

NECK

Open collars, shirt collars and lapel collars are pretty and flattering but do not keep the neck part warm, so they should be worn with a matching scarf. A large lapel collar gives us volume on the chest and highlights this area. Closed necks shorten the neck and figure even more, although they do not need neck accessories.

COLOR

Light and bold colors give volume while dark and neutral colors stylize.

BELT

Belted coats cinch the waist and hide the hips. To achieve a balanced figure, it is good to choose a coat with large shoulder pads and lapels, a belt to fit and flap pockets.

POCKETS

The bellows pockets with flaps give volume to the hip area, opt for them only if you have little hip. If what you want is to hide this part, choose coats without pockets or buttonhole type, which are the ones that give less volume.

BUTTONS

Buttons draw attention away from the volume of the coat and take it to where they are placed. For example, if they go from the neck to the waist, they will focus the gaze on the upper part. The buttons in the central part widen the figure.
